Martin Drug Co. is the original tenant that occupied the space on the corner of Congress & 5th street until the 1940s or ‘50s. It was Tucson’s first soda fountain, general store & pharmacy. The Martin family operated nine drugstores in Tucson from the late 1800s through the mid-1900s, several of them along Congress Street downtown.
